At A.F Whites Funeral Service our main aim is take care of all of your funeral needs from start to finish. We are a family owed and run independent funeral directors and therefore as well as being caring and professional, we treat everyone who comes into our care as we would wish for our own loved ones with respect, dignity and compassion, the personal touch is always there. The passing of a loved one is upsetting enough without the worry of a large funeral cost at the end, this is why we will keep your costs as low as we possibly can being upfront and transparent with no hidden charges.
Adrian Fitton – Managing Director
Adrian started out in 2008 as “Trike Funerals UK” providing motorcycle funerals across the UK with our bespoke trike hearse filling the last wishes for many families that were keen bikers or wanted something a little different and meaningful to their loved one. He then expanded to “Blacks Carriage Masters” providing funeral car hire to lots of local funeral directors across the north west. After a few years doing this he soon noticed he could provide the same service as most other funeral directors and with most cases up to 40% cheaper, possibly even more compared to the larger funeral companies with many branches.
Lesley Watson – Funeral Director & Operations Manager
Lesley started her career in the Funeral Profession during February 1999, working with an independent funeral company then with the larger firms where she trained in Embalming before returning to independent funeral directors. With a background as a civilian for the Police Force and a medical background from working within the NHS, Lesley has a very clear sense of compassion and understanding for all families within our care, giving full attention to their needs and wishes.
Karen Gill – Funeral Arranger & Funeral Director
Karen was originally with one of the larger funeral companies who have many branches across the UK. Karen started there in 2009 as a Funeral Arranger and during her time has looked after and supported thousands of families during their most difficult times. Karen has gained many years experience with this company but came to us as she wanted to work for a small independent family funeral director for the more personalised approach where the family come first.
